When GHD offered me the chance to see Katy Perry play at the London O2 Arena last Saturday, I literally SNAPPED it up! Despite not being a huge fan, I really liked a couple of her more recent hits and knew regardless of musical content she was bound to put on a good show – plus, I really wanted to see what she looked like in the flesh!
As Katy Perry is the official spokesperson for GHD, there was a GHD promotional stand at the arena called the Candy Cane Californian Dream House, decorated in style of the California Dreams tour campaign. Amongst opportunities to get your hair styled using GHD stylers, you also had the chance to pose with a full size Katy Perry cut out and also win prizes such as seat upgrades and Katy Perry goody bags.

Apparently these stands will be at every Katy Perry UK California Dreams tour date, so if you’ve managed to get yourself a ticket for one of the shows, make sure you take the time to visit the stand and take full advantage of all the treats and offers available.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show, although VERY surprised to see the amount of straight, adult men there! Honestly, I’m pretty sure many of them weren’t simply dragged unwillingly by their girlfriends! Had no idea Katy had such a mixed crowed. Didn’t get to see her with her new(ish) pink barnet as she had a black wig on, but other than that she looked great and her outfits were amazing.

I saw Katy Perry in April so unfortunately won’t be benefiting from the GHD stand this time around. Sounds like it was really cool. Oh yes, and I went with my fiance who was more than willing to go with me! Katy has a hugely variable audience.
