You might be thinking that I must have been living under a rock to not have tried a BB Cream up until now, but in all honesty, I just thought there was no way a product could deliver all it promises in such a versatile formula. How could one product work for all skin types? I was quite happy with my foundation and personalised skincare, thank you very much. However, when I was approached to review the Boots No7 BB Cream, it seemed like the perfect excuse to actually see what all the fuss was about.
Well, for starters one of the things that impressed me from the off was that the product came in three formulas for different skin types – oily to normal, normal to dry and dry to very dry. I’m always harping on about my dry skin so obviously I requested to try the dry to very dry one. It also comes with an impressive 5* UVA rating, great for those concerned in preserving their youthful appearance and minimising risk of sun damage. As with all BB Creams, it claims to care and condition skin whilst also providing cosmetic coverage that conceals it. It’s basically a 4-in-1 does it all product; moisturises, primes, protects and conceals.
Bare in mind I’ve only ever tried this version of BB Creams so have nothing to compare it too, but I have enjoyed using it. No7′s BB Cream doesn’t claim to cover like foundation, instead offering more a barely-there flawless complexion, which is exactly how it covers. Despite having the most moisturising of the formulas, it didn’t leave my skin dewy or greasy, but left it looking healthy and nourished, and perfectly evened out.
It wore well throughout the day, didn’t dry out and never needed touching up once! And best of all my skin felt great whilst it was on; comfortable, nourished and smooth.

Sounds intriguing! Am always worried they’ll look ashy on darker skin – how did you find it blended? Would’ve loved to have seen a pic of it on!
