Um. Okay, this box literally just landed on my doorstep and I am already blown away. Love absolutely everything inside it! The August Joliebox* is Holiday themed, comprised of items perfect to take away on a summer retreat or, like me, just to use as they look so fab!
Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castle Soap ‘pillows’
Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Clean Revitalising Dry Shampoo
So Susan Cosmetics Lip Cushion
So Susan Cosmetics Wide Awake Face Palette
Joliebox Leather Hair Styling Lace
It’s quite funny actually as just yesterday I was reading about a Birchbox blog post (the American alternative to our subscription boxes) which included a So Susan sample, and the blogger being elated to having received it as she knew So Susan was a ‘good’ brand. I personally have never heard of them, other than that post, but the packaging of these products are lush. Although they do remind me A LOT of Jelly Pong Pong (I believe Jelly Pong Pong actually have products titled, marketed and designed almost identically – can’t comment on who came first though). The Lip Cushion (a tinted lip balm, essentially, that gives lips an ‘irresistible, squishy, elastic texture’ – weirdly I know what they mean!) is in a gorgeous pink colour and comes in an uber portable and cute dinky pot. The Wide Awake Palette has an illuminating cream, highlighter and brow powder, and whilst the brow powder is okay so far, good perhaps (I’ve used it once, just quickly tried it on now), it might be too dark for many. I think the whole palette is designed for a mid-tone skin colour range so will probably be too dark/not dark enough for some.
The Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Clean Revitalising Dry Shampoo is the perfect handbag size! And the Joliebox Leather Hair Styling Lace is a really lovely hair accessory that I can’t wait to use.. Saving the Dr. Bronner’s Soap ‘pillows’ for trips away, but very much intrigued with how they can be used from head to toe.
So much fun, pretty, make-up and hair products! Exactly what I love most in these subscription boxes! Lots of bang for your buck. An Awesome box!
