A while ago a I went to really cool dinner hosted by Clairol, they showcased their at the time brand spanking new hair dye Extreme ‘n Easy, and it sounded.. FIERCE. The colour was meant to be next level active and provide really vivid, intense results – very on-trend for the current punky colours peeps are rocking. At the time I had a prominent dip dye that I wasn’t eager to dye over, but now that most of it’s been cut out, I was actually willing to give this bad boy a little test and see just HOW extreme the results were. I was never going to do my whole head, but thought I’d do the odd dipped strand here and there.. The colour I got was Clairol Extreme ‘n Easy 7RR Flame Red*.
HOWEVS, lucky I had a quick check at the colour chart before proceeding as by the looks of it, this is not a suitable shade for my blackest of black hair! :’( Worth mentioning though that the colour chart results do look impressive if your hair is within the target range.
A little bit of a shame that I couldn’t try this, but maybe it’s meant to be considering I am actually supposed to be leaving my hair alone since having 8 inches or so cut off in the last month in order to restore a somewhat healthier appearance. I’m telling ya, dip dyes/ombres ‘dos look fab but if your hair is dark to begin with, it will RUIN it. Although I am planning on getting another one so I guess it’s not been that off-putting.
What’s inside in case that stuff matters to you.
Sorry I couldn’t give you no ‘after’ results.
