If there’s one nail colour I could happily live in, shunning all others for eternity, it would be orange. And this particular shade, Jessica Groovy Baby, is probably my absolute favourite of the lot – and incidentally one of my very first!!
I had bought it in 2007 (I think?) and wore it religiously for several summers in a row. I misplaced and promptly replaced it with another random orange, but I recently rediscovered it and it paints and wears just as well as it did all that time ago! I did have to pour a teeny bit of nail varnish remover into it and give it a good mix to remedy the gloopyness but other than that, perfect condition!
It’s a real bright, fluoro, but not so bright it’s like you’ve simply coloured your nails in with a highlighter pen; it’s a shade darker making it a teeeeny bit classier (not much, admittedly. After all it is still a neon!). Love it and it looks awesome on tanned skin.
I tweeted this pic yesterday of the rest of my bright/fluoro orange nail varnishes (well, a large chunk of it). I am starting to recognise that it is probably a little too extensive..
So it was the Blue Moon yesterday meaning powerful spell time, which I blogged about HERE. I had everything all ready for my spell but annoyingly didn’t get to do it as I was out, on a date no less, and it was a bit awkward trying to find time to dash off outside with a bottle of champers and cast the spell. Actually, my date was very considerate and did offer to come outside with me to do the spell, but I chickened out at the last minute after re-reading what I would have to say aloud and realising how utterly embarrassing that would be in front of him. :/ I know it’s not strictly August anymore, therefore meaning the two full moons in one month thing might not count (or maybe they’ll be another full moon in this September, meaning it does still kinda count?), but apparently you have the full moon phase for three days so, technically, I should be able to still do it tonight. I think Friday is a better day for magick though, but what can you do? Wish me luck that I do it tonight without a hitch and it still works!
Oh, am LOVING all my girlfriends texting and letting me know they are doing/have done the spell! Great minds.. Shall we all start a coven??
