If you follow my twitter you’re probably aware I like nothing more than a good fil-lum at stupid o’clock, and for want of a better term consider myself quite the movie buff. Last week alone I watched The Imposter, We Were Here, Tomboy and Prometheus (all good and worth a watch, some more so than others), and today I settled down to five shorts from the Intel (in partnership with W Hotel) FOUR STORIES competition campaign, curated by Roman Coppola and his production company The Directors’ Bureau. One of the five ten minute shorts was actually created by Coppola himself, however the other four were the winning entries in the search for the most promising and aspiring new film-makers, hoping for the chance to see their creation on the big screen.
They were all great but this was one called EL TONTO, written by Ben Sayeg and directed by Lake Bell, was probably my favourite as it’s pretty much my humour to a T.
Funny, no? Check out the other shorts over HERE and let me know which is your favourite.. (and man, I really want an ultrabook and a stay in W Hotel now).
