The last few weeks have been crazy busy and on top of that, my site decided to break (well, it was kind of my own fault for attempting changes when I should know better!) but huzzaaaaaah! It is fixed again, sorta.
Anyway, last week I got my hair did at RUSH hair salon* on the Strand (London). I essentially needed my dip dye re-did (I was tempted with doing it myself but chickened out last minute so booked in this appointment) and also to get an ever so slight trim. I am desperately trying to grow my hair back to how it was, as so much has been cut out during the last few months it has literally been impossible to get my old style back. However I spoke to Company Consultant Esta (who did my hair), and even showed her pics of my hair at its best via their computer (I signed into Facebook), and she understood exactly what I wanted. As my hair is too short at present she explained that it was gonna be hard to get it back to its tousled usual state (it’s too block at the mo, which I hate), but she could thin out the layers a bit so it’d grow in a better shape than it currently was.
Four hours later (we’re talking lightening the ends of jet black hair to honey here!).. Ta daaaa!
I really like it, and loved how she styled it by simply twirling the hair in her hand and holding under the dryer. As I was going out that very eve to the VICE10 pardy I asked her to style it all sweeping to the left, to suit my outfit (I was not wearing that blue thing in the picture!).
It’s a very different dye to my last one at Lisa Shepherd, this one is definitely a dip dye as opposed to the ombre done over there which had more slices of lightened colour. I really like it, but am tempted to go back in a month and get the ends lightened further (you need to space out this shiz so hair doesn’t break). I am also toying with the idea of using a colour on top of the lightened area, just not sure which yet (pastels are out for me unfortch as my hair is not ice white enough).
Here is another snap of it a few days later with Katie at the Daily Mix party; a new youtube channel launching starring a host of super youtubers! It’s pretty obvious I styled it here myself, did not do the twirling technique and you can tell! I will try and post a proper pic of it soon!
