Despite desperately wanting a FRANKIE MAGAZINE DAILY JOURNAL for my diary/planner this year, I was sadly too late in picking one up before it had sold out so decided to see what else was out there. Last year I used my trusty Filofax, but although being pocket size it was still too bulky and ended being an at-home planner – defeating much of the point I needed a diary for! Despite coming across some really adorable illustrated ones from Ebay (see pictured above), I settled on the more practical option of my first ever MOLESKINE..
And I love it!
It’s an limited edition PEANUTS POCKET SIZED, with week to view, but what I especially love about it, other than the beautiful nostalgia of it simply being PEANUTS (aww), was that it had the week to view on one page, and the other was a blank lined page to fill in with your notes for that week! This appealed ridiculously to me because I am a big note/list writer and having that extra space to quickly jot things down on-the-go and plan really helps keep my mind in check. I’ve only had it three days (took a while to arrive) and I’ve already crammed my first weeks use with essential (to me) notes and info, etc (these pics were taken on day one; you should see it now!).
But the deal closer for me was the secret pocket.. Despite it being SO slimline and portable – an actual pocket sized planner that is usable – it has a pocket attached to the back to keep whatever bits you want!
It comes with its own set of stickers (can someone please explain how I’m meant to use these? I can imagine myself pointlessly saving them as they’re so cute), but I’ve also stashed a post-it insert (that I had with my Filofax), a couple of business cards and some stamps. So handy!
I definitely have my heart set on picking up a Frankie mag journal for next year.. But you know, I am pretty much loving my Moleskine experience thus far so things could change!

I LOVE that style of Moleskine planner with the week view and blank page (I put my To Do list and various notes there). SO awesome. And the Peanuts one is just adorable! I’ve been using iCloud for the past year instead of a paper planner, but this Moleskine Peanuts one really makes me miss the old school kind.
I also keep a calendar on my phone that is synced with my gmail calendar, but I prefer using something like this as I find it easier to go through and see what I have on in advance, etc. I’m very happy I went with it! x
