I haven’t really partook in any of the sales shopping this holiday season, bar one dress (which I swiftly returned as it didn’t fit right) and these beautiful River Island cut out peep-toe sandals.. They weren’t reduced massively, but I got them for about half price and as I loved them so much it was worth it. I have no idea why they appeal to me so much, but I guess it’s ’cause they’re kinda boho and vintage-esque, and I can imagine them being beautiful with knee length, flimsy dresses (or just flimsy dresses) for summer.
My mum loved them on me so much, she asked me to order her a pair! Not sure if that’s a good sign that my mum and I now share the same fashion sense?! Haha.
These boots arrived today and so far, despite not really having given them a good try yet, I love them. I spotted them on Milly’s blog a month ago and thought they were perfect for everyday, comfy but chic(ish) ankle boots. There’s no denying the similarities between them and theĀ Topshop Alvins, but at less than half the price these are a great alternative! Plus, as they came from a Chinese seller on Ebay, I managed to snag a dinky size 2.5 which fits perfectly, actually a little bit loose but I prefer that with boots so I can wear thick socks underneath. So if you’re tempted to get a pair yourself, I suggest sizing down if you’re an in-between size like me.
You like? Just want summer to hurry up so I can wear my cut-out sandals now!
