SMASHBOX MEGATINT LONG WEAR LIP COLOR & NEW HALO LONG WEAR BLUSH SHADES

The key to my heart is shaped in a Smashbox Megatint.

I AM IN LOVE.

Let’s face it, I lose it over lipsticks. It doesn’t matter how many I have, I will always get excited over a lipstick of the matte variety, and I think I have actually discovered my Holy Grail of the lot. The new Smashbox Mega Tints* are OUT OF THIS WORLD. They are so good, I am literally clucking for all the other shades after just a couple of days with this poppy red, Cerise.

They’re technically lip tint stains, but don’t be confused into thinking these are those watery type products that settle onto the dry patches of your lips. Oh no, this is the lightest, softest matte lipstick you will ever, ever try. Feather light, deeply pigmented and nourishing with outstanding lasting power. Albeit I’ve only had mine for a short while, it lasted through everything for hours and hours and hours, only really needing reapplying after eating. And admittedly it did really need it then. But other than that, it lasted brilliantly and when it did start to fade, it faded to a beautiful, even stain with no yucky, dry bits.

Second to launch from Smashbox are the new shades from the Halo Long Wear Blush range. I have Warm Glow* and am also wearing it in the pics above; it is very lovely on, but bear in mind it doesn’t photograph so clearly being a dusky nude! However you can see it catching the light well.

 As you might already know, Smashbox Halo blushers are mineral, so technically kinder for your skin, and have a beautiful glowy, illuminating finish. Look out for the new super bright pink and coral shades (Peachy Dream and In Bloom), as they are AMAZING.

Unfortunately neither of these new products and shades will be available for purchase for ANOTHER WHOLE MONTH, not till April, sadly. Sorry for teasing you. But really, it just means you have plenty of time to really decide on which Megatint you want (all of them, obvs) and new Halo shade to get!
