Slimming pants, what a delightful concept. Pants you wear every day for a month then poof! Just like that you’ve lost a few inches around the horror zones (your thighs, hips, tum) and you’re suddenly a good dress size smaller. I was so excited to try these pants as I had read some amazing reviews prior but unfortunately for me I was not so lucky..
What you/they do..
You spray the special spray all over the insides of the pants, wait a couple of mins for it to dry then put them on under your regular clothing and simply go about your day. There is a massive science bit that goes with it which I think I can summarise by saying, alongside many of the other factors, primarily these pants are made from a special material that stretches and releases an algae that has been proven to boost weight loss. The more you move around in them, the more the material stretches and rubs itself against your troublesome body parts and ..burns(?) the weight off. So I don’t think couch potatoes will benefit much.
Did it work?
Hmmm, I’m reluctant to say no because I don’t think I was the best candidate for this particular pair of shorts. For starters, the small size is a size 8-10 – I am a 6, sometimes even 4 (before you start I’m very petite! It’s fine to be that size if you’re my height), so while on the model they looked almost like Brazilian shorts, on me they were much longer; way longer than bicycle shorts.

And because they were a little big, they weren’t that ‘stuck’ to my skin as I imagine they should be to effectively stretch and release the algae.
But despite all this I did give it a go, I tried, I hand washed them after wear ready for the next day (you can’t machine wash these things) and that in itself ruined my clinical trial somewhat as sometimes I got lazy and couldn’t be bothered to hand wash them when I got home, so if I’m honest it wasn’t really daily that I wore them.. But I did wear them roughly 4 days a week. So taking in to account they were a little loose on me and I didn’t wear them religiously what is my outcome? No weight loss, sorry, BUT the skin did certainly feel smoother and firmer and my cellulite seemed to have improved. I really don’t want to commit to implying these pants don’t work in weight loss because I think they do – if they fit you and you wore them daily. But on me and my ridiculous size I didn’t get the results that everyone else seemed to have got. Sob.
