Charles Worthington Straight & Smooth at Home Straightening Treatment – UPDATE!

Hellooooo. So it’s been three weeks since I applied the Charles Worthington at Home Straightening Treatment and here is my update on how the treatment has lasted! To re-cap on the initial post and to see the immediate results, check HERE.First off, I want to include what was in the box as I forgot to include pics of it in my first post (which I’ve now edited in!).As I mentioned in my first video, you literally get everything you could possibly need to apply the treatment – bar the towel! I really love that they’ve included a wide tooth comb and the aftercare conditioner is a nice substantial amount that will last you approx 6+ washes.

Here’s my update video on the treatment..
So overall I would say it was a success!

However as I mentioned in the video I feel the results would be far better documented on someone who to begin with had very curly or frizzy hair rather than on me, as in retrospect at this point it’s hard to tell whether this is just hair in good nick or whether it’s down to the treatment. If you have naturally very curly hair, you would for sure be able to tell if the treatment was still lasting 3 weeks in as your hair would either still be naturally straighter or not! But as it is, my hair does feel smoother so I’m going to assume it’s down to this. :)

Charles Worthington At Home Straight & Smooth Hair Straightening Kit!

Have you ever had your hair chemically straightened at the salon? Or maybe you just want it to be more manageable and less frizzy, drastically reducing styling time? Well, Charles Worthington has now bought out an at home version of the salon Straightening treatment giving  you silkier, more manageable, straighter hair for a fraction of the salon treatment price! This product is ideal if your hair is so curly it’s practically unmanageable, or you’re a slave to your straightening irons and hair dryer because you just can’t bear it au naturel. It simply helps smooth out the kinks and reduces the frizz, depending on how curly it is in the first place – the curlier the hair the less straight the results will be, but it will definitely be tons smoother… Or so they say!

My hair isn’t that curly or hard to control in comparison to others, however it is frizzy and doesn’t suffer humidity well. For me this treatment was all about getting a sleeker style and cutting down blow drying time. Let’s see how I got on with it!

As you can see from the video, the results are pretty straight! However my hair can generally go poker straight with a little styling so I wasn’t shocked by that result – it’s usually keeping it that way that’s the problem. I have to leave my hair down for 48 hours and then, if I want I guess, I can wash it. It’s gonna be tricky not to tie it up for that amount of time but apparently it’s very important that I resist from doing so as I need to keep it as straight as possible for the treatment to ‘set’. I really hope my hair isn’t permanently this straight, just less frizzy and more manageable, however I guess we can only wait and see..

Oh, one last thing. It’s got a really horrible smell similar to hair removing cream that doesn’t wash out when you’ve finished applying the treatment, hopefully it’ll go when I next shampoo it but just be warned if you’re thinking of applying it before a big night out (which I doubt but on the off chance you are) – you won’t want anyone sniffing your hair!

Check back in a couple of weeks to see how this treatment has lasted!

Hit my up with any questions!
