I got sent some great Neal & Wolf half products to try recently. I was asked to pick a couple of products from the range and opted for ‘Form’, a light sculpting lotion, and ‘Elevate’, a volumising lotion (always chasing the volume, me). I’ve been using them consistently since I’ve got them, about a month, and here’s how I got on..
I’ll start with the product I liked best, Form, as I thought it just gave the perfect amount of hold to my hair when styling. Here’s what they say: “Helps shape and hold the look you want, whilst providing fantastic texture and a stunning shine”. For Bumble & Bumble fans it is very similar to their Styling Creme, but I actually found it easier to work with as that’s quite a strong hold product and could get tricky sometimes. This product, Form, was relatively easy to distribute through my hair, the texture is a creme that is quite tacky, and blow drying with a brush was easier than expected with these types of products – although you had to work fast as it would start to set in whichever way your hair would naturally dry (bad, in my case)! I really like this product, think it does pretty much what I had hoped it would do (keep my fringe/bangs area in check and adds a little bounce and texture to my layers) and will continue to use it in every blow dry! Considering I have lots of lovely hair products, including gorgeous expensive ‘top’ brands this is no mean feat! I would definitely consider re-purchasing (or just purchasing! As I was sent this for review, hehe). The second product I tried by them was Elevate, I actually used this one first when I received the two, as I mentioned above I am always looking for a little volume in my lifeless hair. This is what they say: “For anyone wanting luxuriously thick hair”. Unfortunately, while this was easy to use for a volumising product largely due to it’s thin, workable texture, it didn’t really do much in terms of volumising. However the first time I used it it did make my hair lovely and soft! But still flat as usual. Boo. I still use it (alongside Form) but actually I might start skipping it now as I’ve started getting a little dandruff and suspect it might be from too much hair product! No point unnecessarily using stuff that doesn’t actually make a difference to the end result.
