Birthday Wish…

Isn’t it the most beautiful-lest thing ever? Vintage Chanel is one thing, but vintage Chanel in HOT PINK. Wowowowow. I am in lust overload.

When it comes to designer goods I am not one to want the simple black ‘of the moment’ bag that everyone else is toting around, the one that in my opinion lacks originality in thought and style. Why be a sheep? Instead, I’d rather pick a piece that was fairly unique and that I really loved, something that also suited my style and showed my personality whilst still exuding luuuuux.

Far-fetched.com is a Luxury Clothing site that specialises in the best from boutiques of designer stock (vintage and not) from all over the world, including our very own London. Admittedly, it is a little out of my price range for everyday shopping, but if I was to to be treated to an item (note the word ‘treated) it would definitely be one of the shoulder bags… In a nutshell, something I could get away with wearing every single day so absolutely everybody who ever had the (mis)fortune of meeting me would know I owned such a piece of beauty and luxury! But that’s just me.

They’ve recently re-launched their website www.farfetch.com, so if you’re after something special for a potential birthday, Christmas, anniversary or even as a simple treat to self, it’s worth checking out.. If my ‘main’ birthday present hadn’t already been bought I could seriously see myself requesting that pink Chanel bag. I’m kinda wishing a generous millionaire will stumble across this post and take pity and randomly buy it for me. Here’s hoping..

Vintage from Brixton

I’ve just recently discovered this little place in Brixton called Brixton Village. It’s full of lots of lovely cafe’s and record stores and more than its fair share of vintage shops, all in Brixton. Who would have thunk it?

I took a stroll down there on Saturday with my good friend Thommy, I bought a bracelet for £3 and this hat for £8.

Whilst I was umming and ahhing over whether to buy the hat or not, I asked Thommy if it was an everyday hat or simply an occasional one. He replied, ‘Dahhhling, you’re completely asking the wrong person. Everyday is an occasion for me’. And he is completely right. I will blog about Thommy soon as he is starting a make-up course and is destined to be fabulous (I’m sure Alex Box is going to become his new best friend and I’ll be kicked to the curb someday soon), so once you see his get-up you’ll entirely understand.

Whilst I doubt I’ll manage to pull this hat off for everyday quite like Thommy would, it will deffo go with a few cocktail dresses and is absolutely perfect for weddings. I adore the way it just balances on the head, bendable and ready to be placed at any angle, so very versatile.

Must find an occasion to wear it soon.
