My best friend bought this for me a few years back, it was a bit of a random gift but she swore she couldn’t live without these glass nail files and wanted to spread the joy (you now how it is when you love a product so much and just want to open everyone else’s eyes to it?).
Working with her hands a lot (she’s a props maker), she was always filing her nails for practicality and used to get frustrated with regular emery boards breaking or just wearing away far too soon. I obviously didn’t have this problem as I probably only file my nails once a week briefly before I do a re-paint job, but I did understand how annoying emery boards were and it was hassle to constantly keep repurchasing as they do wear down too fast, no matter how mildly you file.
So I’ve since been using this glass file she bought me, and annoyingly I’ve currently misplaced it somewhere and I’ve now realised I am utterly LOST without it. The benefits of a crystal glass nail file is that it never breaks, never snaps in half, never dulls down and one apparently lasts you for life. It is also just so much better at filing and shaping your nails than any other file I’ve used. Like a regular nail file it is double sided, one side rougher than the smoother ‘finishing’ side, and there’s even a pointed tip to do your cuticles with. The best thing about this file is that once you feel the friction starting to dull down or wear, you simply rinse it with water and it makes it brand new again! Uttely amazing!

I’ve had mine for over a year now, and admittedly I probably don’t give it as much of a work out as my pal here, but there have been occasions where I have seriously filed down some scary talons and the file still remains as sharp and effective as always – I’ve not even needed to run it under water to get the ‘sparkle’ back yet!
As it was a gift, I can’t know for sure where she got this from but the file cover says Wow so after a quick search on google, it seems pretty likely she got hers from www.wowtrade.co.uk, and this one seems just like the one I have! Priced at only £8 I think it is an absolute bargain, and I am actually gonna re-order another as I still can’t find mine and there’s no harm in having two if it does decide to turn up (one for the handbag, one for home)!
