The word serum usually springs to mind a product that is extra nourishing, so when using this for the first time it was quite a surprise as initially you can’t feel anything on your skin. The product is so light by the time it’s been spread over your skin it literally becomes traceless. You then follow with your moisturiser and that is what puts the moisture back into your freshly cleansed/washed skin – not this serum. What I’ve learned about this beauty serum is that it works by improving the texture and surface of your skin, not necessarily making it more moisturised, but certainly improving the appearance of it. So for anyone expecting their dehydration to instantly disappear – this probably won’t do it. It will however improve the cells in your skin to retain and absorb moisture better, with longer use.
Within a week of using it I did notice that my skin felt smoother, more refined, and I have to admit that after a month my pores did become noticeably smaller. Strangely, I’d often need to apply two rounds of moisturiser on after this as the first layer would disapear within five minutes leaving my skin a little parched, but once I got used to that I’d plan for it and it wasn’t really a problem. The texture of my skin changed, and my constantly sensitive skin actually felt more durable, stronger. Less prone to irritation from external elements – sometimes just sitting near a radiator would stress my skin out but now I’ve noticed my skin is far more stronger than it’s ever been. I haven’t noticed any lines diminish as yet, but my skin does feel tighter! My main concern regarding wrinkles are the fine lines around my eyes, and I am a little cheeky and do put the serum there (but I think it’s ok, as it’s not a moisturising product so doesn’t cause liquid build-up in that delicate area), but as I said, I haven’t noticed any major differences as yet.
On the whole, having only used this for a couple of months I would say I’m impressed, and something does feel like it’s working, but I need to stick with it for atleast four months to see any major improvements. I’m now about to start my second bottle of the serum, and also trial their Protect & Perfect Eye Cream, and Total Renewel Micro-dermabrasion Exfoliator (both by Boots No7) as I’m now quite keen to see what the rest of the their skincare range is like! Will keep you updated about how those are doing too!
Have you tried the wonder product Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum, or any of the other new additions I’m about to start? How have they been working for you?
