Oh, what a week. I have been sick as a dog and as a result have had the whole week off work, bedridden. Ordinarily, me being in bed all week and not having to move all day would be a blast, but it’s quite a different kettle of fish when you’re puking your guts out… I’m starting to feel a little more like myself now but the depression has hit me the last few days; you know how it is when you’re weak, emotional, sick, too much time on your hands thinking? It just made me feel somewhat miserable. So I decided, and I cannot stress how impulsive this decision was, to treat myself to a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s.

I managed to snag the last pair of the style I wanted, and in retrospect I think it was Fate that the last pair, in black, was a size 3 – the closest you can get to my size on a non-specialist shoe place (I’m a 2.5 if we’re being pedant). I ordered the shoes from Doll Boutique online at 1pm Thursday, and they arrived, on free standard delivery, within 24 hours. How is that for amazing service?
Rubbish camera phone pics, tsk.. I’m such a slob I had to get changed out of my PJ’s especially for this pic, hehe.. I was worried that I would look hella short and stumpy in them as I’d read the Lita’s only look good on tall, skinny girls (of which I am neither), but I think they look okay. Don’t stumpify me too much. What do you think?
So I am now Officially Skint. I really could not afford these shoes as I have so many outgoings this month, hence why I sorta dismissed them when I first finally discovered a UK stockist via the lovely Style of a Fashionista. But now they’ve arrived I’m so happy with them and they’ve definitely beat those blues away! Plus, they are uuuuuuber comfy. I haven’t had the chance to wear them out but I tried them on around the house and they were comfier than some of my flats! Seriously, the leather is sooo soft, it just molds around your feet and the square toe really combats any potential toe squashing pain (that’s where I always feel my shoe pain!).
I’ve read about people having an Lita addiction, buying pair after pair in a variety of colours and styles for something to go with every piece of clothing they have. I couldn’t really understand it myself; surely, unless you’re loaded, you only really need one pair of shoes like these? But now, owning this pair and seeing how ‘every day’ and comfy it is, I already have my eye on the taupe suede’s and brown leather… Heaven help me.
If you’re after the black pair just like mine I noticed Office have started stocking them, for £5 cheaper at that!

I also bought another pair of shoes a few weeks back from Topshop, some biiig clunky platform brown sandals (the Libby). I’ll blog about those soon, but really, these Lita’s blitz them out of the water.
