Lee Stafford Bling Hair Rehab Detox Shampoo
This shampoo is designed to get a really thorough cleanse, it removes all stubborn hair product build up (can anyone say hairspray?), Pollution such a nicotine and chlorine and also combats the effects of hard water. Getting this type of shampoo was really convenient for me as I’ve long been seeking a good detox shampoo as I have a nasty O.C.D. habit of possibly over washing my hair; sometimes I wash it three times in one shower (I don’t wash my hair everyday though, so relax!). I just like my hair to be really clean and I really want to make sure all the grease and hair products are properly removed.
Applying this is no different to any shampoo, it comes in a useful pump action, you put it in wet hair, lather up, then rinse. And I have to admit, it certainly works at detoxing. Even after one application it rinsed out leaving my hair squeaky clean, literally. My hair felt a little bit rubbery and squeaky as it was so clean and almost stripped. This would prob be a fab product for swimmers or folk who use excessive hair products, but I’m not sure I could bring myself to use it every hair wash as it simply is a bit too good at its job and my hair doesn’t really need it. However, there are occasions when I back comb my hair to death aided with an entire can of cheap hairspray, and for those times this is definitely gonna come in handy! It also, like the entire range, has a quite metrosexual smell to it – possibly not feminine enough for me.

This product is meant for hair that is thinning, aging and needs more vitality. It says on the lid (it comes in a big jar) that it’s for hair that never grows past a certain length, and although I’ve made it sound like it’s something your nan should be using, I actually think this will cater to most people.
You’re meant to apply this after shampooing your hair, and before conditioner. You take a egg sized amount out and message it into the lengths of your hair, from root to tip, and then leave it for five minutes and then rinse.
After having used the detoxing shampoo, using this was a welcome bit of moisture to my stripped hair. After the five minutes were up, I rinsed it out and my hair already felt remarkably silkier. However I will have to update on this once I’ve finished the entire jar to fully comment on it’s non aging thickening effect! But so far I liked it. You are meant to use it every wash until your hair improves, and then once a week after that.

And finally we come to the conditioner. Like the Hair Growth Treatment it comes in a pink jar, and you are advised to take a golf ball sized amount and message it in from root to tip. This is the bog standard deep conditioning treatment for dry hair in the range.
I applied it as prescribed, and waited five mins and then rinsed thoroughly (another O.C.D. Of mine, must wash all conditioner out!!). It was hard to notice the immediate effect as the hair growth treatment already left my hair in pretty good condition, so this didn’t really feel like it did that much extra.
However, the real test is to see how my hair is after drying! Forward an hour, and I’ve applied some Lee Stafford Bling Glossing Glimmer Serum to my ends and a blow dry spray, and get to work on blow drying my hair. The serum is primarily made from hazelnut oil and also includes lots of vitamins, but I think it’s main selling feature is the glitter and shimmer. Ordinarily, I’d probably just choose a serum that was just a serum, but I’ll try anything once!
Result
Well, I have to say my hair is feeling a little bit parched. I suspect this is down to the serum, as my usual serum is very good and I swear that single handedly transforms my hair from haystack head into spun silk most times. It’s not dry looking, but I think it could be a little silkier. However, my hair is usually a bit prone to this after the first day of washed hair, and then settles down the next day. The strange thing is, whenever I use a new shampoo, my hair (like for many) is incredibly silky and lovely for that first initial wash, so not really sure why that hasn’t happened here.
The products that I do like from this range so far is the shampoo, for when I need a good, strong shampoo that will remove everything, and possibly the hair growth treatment, however we’ll have to wait and see how that turns out after I’ve given it more time. Not 100% sold on the conditioner or the serum just yet but this may change the more I use it, so keep checking back for updates!
