For those who have been following my rather pathetic quest for the perfect OTK (Over The Knee) boots might appreciate a little update and, dare I say it, conclusion to the story.
I literally went round in a full circle.

It all started when I randomly ordered these pretty gorgeous OTK boots from Petite Feet for a purse friendly £30. I had never really expressed much interest in wanting to own a pair, and I have to be honest I didn’t even know they were the height of fashion at the time I bought them (maybe I subconsciously did, hence randomly choosing them). Anyways, I ordered them on a whim, ’cause they were cheap and I simply wanted to buy something (you know how it is), and kinda forgot about them until they arrived. When they did arrive I fell so head over in heels in love with them, a complete unexpected and utterly welcome surprise, I was astounded I hadn’t wanted a pair off OTK boots sooner!
Never being one to stay content for long, I started to think how amazing would a pair of OTK boots be if I picked a pair that had everything I could possibly want in the perfect OTK. Platform sole, 4/5 inch heel, slim fit, and hiiiiigh up the leg…
After some searching I thought I found it in the sold out Topshop Britany 2. I became obsessed with owning these boots. I even dreamt about buying them. I finally struck gold and was informed by my local Topshop that they had a return of these boots IN MY SIZE, so the next day I trudged all the way there in the blistering snow and limited bus service with the intention to buy them and fulfil at least one of my dreams in this life time.

But all my dreams were shattered (literally) the minute I tried them on; from all of the pics online they never really striked me as suuuuper skinny fit. Maybe because on all the ana models they weren’t. But on me (I could be fatter than the average) they were as skinny as leggings, crinkly legging. I didn’t really like the look that much. And for a £100, plus already owning a decent pair of OTK and the fact this was most likely a one season wear only investment, I couldn’t really warrant the purchase.
I did take some sly pics of these though (as promised!) with my mobile phone camera, but silly drunk Lina accidently deleted all her camera pics on Friday night. Rad. So sorry I don’t have pics of the blue boots for you to peruse at your own leisure for full inspection.
So I THEN thought I found a decent substitute on Ebay. Platform sole, 4 inch heel, high leg. But…. they arrived and I just wasn’t feeling them. For starters they were clearly too big for me (hence why I usually only shop at Petite Feet, I should really remember that more often).
Boots from Ebay
So to cut a long story short, I sent the Ebay ones back (thankfully they have a 14 day refund policy which I’m still waiting on) and have come to the conclusion that actually the original OTK boots I bought, from Petite Feet, for £30, was without doubt the best of the bunch. They fit my leg beautifully, not too skin tight but not baggy or loose either, and came to the perfect length. I remembered at the time thinking the heel wasn’t high enough, but in retrospect that was a load of bullshit. I measured them and they are 4.5 iches high. They’re pretty much perfect.
Lovely Petite Feet boots
I do like to run myself round in circles, huh?
