What’s your hair crime? TIGI Bed Head Shampoo & Conditioner Anti-Dotes range

Arghhh, as the days go by the more and more I hate my hair. I managed to to avoid any washing and thus styling of it for a good week by attending lots of hair events that offered to do this for me, so I had some misconception that my hair was actually alright. Then Friday arrives and I have to wash and style it myself and it looked HIDEOUS down. I had to tie it up all day in a topknot which worked as I was at an outdoor gig (Pearl frickin’ Jam, no less!) but still worrying that that was the only thing I could do to make it look okay. I washed it again on Saturday, hideous. I tried curling it (like it was styled at the event below) and it looked okay I guess, still needed some rearranging/clipping back, etc. I just feel so depressed, I can’t do anything to make it look nice like it used to..

But anyway, LAST WEEK, when I had avoided styling my own hair I went to a great TIGI event. We all (us beauty bloggers) were introduced to their new Shampoo and Conditioner as a further branch of their Bed Head range. The range, Urban Anti-Dotes, sounded like it was made for me. They said it for the girl who went out all weekend, back combed her hair to death on Friday then doesn’t comb it out again till Monday, went to festivals, gigs, parties, led a pretty unhealthy life. Someone who basically ruins their hair every weekend and then magically expects to be like new when they finally get round to washing all the horror they did to it out.

They offer three sets of shampoos and conditioners, simply labelled 1, 2 and 3, and like many shampoo products you picked yours depending on how damaged your hair is. Weirdly (I put this down to my hair recently being all cut off) I was advised to get the 1, which is the healthiest hair option of the three.

We also got our hair styled by their uber hot stylists, and I loved how they did mine! He used these massive jumbo curling irons (which I sneakily took note off and have ordered the exact version off!) which made my hair all bouncy and curly. I have since tried to recreate this look but I think my current curling irons just aren’t fat enough. Will try again once I get my jumbo ones through! ;)

Taken much later so curls have fallen quite a bit but I think it still looks ace!

I’ve since been using my ‘Damage Level 1’ shamps and cond all week (well, since Friday, so about 3 times) and yeah it okay. I’m not bowled over by it yet as I have found it does make my hair a teeny bit greasy, far quicker than normal, but admittedly it does make it very silky after being washed and blow dried. Might review the products again in a month or so once I’ve really noticed the residual results of it.

Oooh, yes, we also got our pics taken against a mug shot screen thing, which was quite exciting (see first picture of post). Unfortunately I don’t look as lovely in them as my stylist but it was still a fun ‘shoot’. The whole event was massively fun actually, I could quite happily visit TIGI everyday and get my hair done just to start me off on the right foot! What a difference nice hair makes. Really.

I’m not sure how much these retail for but I assume, by looking at the prices of their other shampoos and conditioners, it’s on the £7.50 mark.
